Uniforms —“I’m new to CAP, do I need a uniform? What type? Where do I get it?”
Uniforms are required for activities such as flight on a CAP aircraft, official functions, cadet activities and working with cadets. The uniform helps present a professional image to those who see us. It also helps us keep a professional attitude in our work at CAP.
CAPM 39-1 is our reference document.
We have some uniform pieces available and will see if there are any that fit.
Many uniform items can be purchased through Vanguard
You can look on Amazon or at Big 5 Sporting Goods for cheaper boots.

- Boots, we may have some that will fit you, but if not you can either buy them on Vanguard or on ebay or any other places that sell used boots. They need to be black tactical boots. Also available at Big 5
-Black socks, nothing in particular, tall boot socks work best

Senior Members
For new senior members without grade, the initial suggested uniform is the CAP Corporate Working Uniform (see below). This will get you by until you can obtain other uniforms.
