Senior Member Welcome Booklet
You will need to create an account on eServices once your application is approved:
- Click on the first time user section and complete the process of making an account.
- Make sure you complete the cyber security training otherwise you will be unable to access any of the materials.
eServices will be where you can access anything CAP related. I would suggest exploring the website to get yourself acquainted once you sign in.
Cadets will receive study materials for your promotions when you receive your membership card. For the time being, here is the first leadership book.
Learn To Lead: Chapter 1
Your next step will be to work toward promotion, which you can start as soon as you wish. The process can be rather complicated so here are the steps:
1. Sign in to eServices
2. Click Menu in the top left hand corner, then click Cadet Programs and Cadet Online Testing
3. Click (GO TO AXIS)
4. Open the Cadet Achievement Tab
5.Click "Enroll" on Cadet Welcome Course, Learn to Lead Chapter 1(Choose the Interactive or the test, the test will be around 30 minutes and 25 questions on the book, the interactive will be an hour long course that will walk you through the book).
6. Go back to Main Portal
7. Click start and complete both courses.
Once you have completed these two courses we will do a drill test, have you recite the cadet oath, and do the Wingman course and you'll have your first promotion completed. We hold promotion ceremonies on the fourth Tuesday. All needs to completed by the 3rd meeting of the month in order to participate in that month's ceremony.
Obtain a uniform.
The squadron has some uniform items that we can give you. What we do not have, you will need to purchase on Vanguard military supply, ebay, Amazon, etc. VANGUARD
You are not required to obtain a uniform until after your first promotion. If you requested financial help in the application process, you will receive a certificate to use after this promotion. You are however able to order at any time after joining.
